For over 20 years, Melinda has passionately advocated for children in her role as a special education teacher in Virginia's public school system. She specialized in guiding her students (PK-post graduate ) reach their full potential by taking time to learn their needs, abilities and personality while providing the love, support ,and strategies to meet their goals. Melinda believes building relationships is key to helping create joy and success while helping cultivate lifelong learners. Melinda earned her Master's Degree in Special Education from George Mason University and has maintained National Board Certification in the area of Exceptional Needs. Outside of work, she enjoys beachcombing with her family, hanging with her dogs, cats,and chickens, and capturing memories through photography.
